Helena

 

Welcome to the state capitol!  Helena is full of rich history, literally and figuratively.  There were many gold camps and veins of the precious metal right where some of our streets now exist.  Its fun to read about it.  The Historical Society has lots of great information.

There is plenty of entertainment and recreation in the area.  We have the theatre, the farmer's market, camping, fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, tours, shopping, and so much more.  We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and there are more lakes and creeks than you can imagine. 

The greater Helena area has a population of over 68,000, with about 30,000 of its residents in the city limits.  Helena has been steadily growing and is projected to continue growing.  New businesses are continually coming to town, which brings more employment.  There are many city, county, and state jobs too.
